Maker of the Month - December and January

It's been wonderful seeing the dolls you have been making with my animal doll sewing patterns for the past two months. I love seeing which fabrics you choose and the extra details you include. It is inspiring and brings a smile to my face every time I imagine everyone sewing the same dolls together in homes across the world 

I share all the photos that you share of dolls in my Instagram stories and save them into the folders on the profile page of my Instagram account so you can view them at any time. It's a great place to look for inspiration!

Each month my daughter Seren, who is 11, chooses her favourite photo to be crowned Maker of the Month and they win a free sewing pattern. Things have been hectic here this month and I am a little behind with things, so this post includes the winners for December and January

There are too many photos to share, so instead, Seren has chosen some of her favourite photos from each month below. Read on to hear what she said about them and to find out who she chose as her Makers of the Month!

January

Seren loves Michelle's sweet wolf. She thinks she's a lovely colour and has a cute face! 

She fell in love with Alison's bunny and her beautiful outfit

Seren loves the colour combination Juli has used to make her bear's clothes 

Arin's fox was a hit with Seren. She said it has a really cute face! 

Kirsty's photo made Seren smile. She thinks the dolls looked adorable together 

Mr Sprinkles has a new fan! Seren loves how creative Christi's dog is and really likes how colourful it is

Seren loves the outfit that Tessa designed for her deer. She said that the frilly apron and boots are amazing 

Ayako's dolls really caught Seren's eye. She loves their outfits and said they look really sweet

Michelle's wolf made Seren swoon. She loves the rainbow romper 

Seren really likes the dress that Vierka made for her kitty. She said the fabrics go together perfectly

Kalmar's bear is a firm favourite. Seren loves her cheeky smile and thinks she looks fun! 

December

Seren loved seeing how creative Stivnshiela's dolls are. She said the details on the vet cat are amazing and she wants one! 

Seren thinks Twanna's panda is beautiful and loves her dress

Nicole's group of puppies and kitties had Seren cooing. She couldn't choose her favourite because she thought they were all so cute!  

Seren loves Jo's bunny's pink fluffy ears and her pretty dress

Seren thinks Obi's cat is perfect. She really likes the combinations of colours and fabrics Obi has used 

Seren loved Susan's deer couple. She thought they were really cute!

Simona's pink fox caught Seren's eye. She said she's adorable! 

Seren loves Nancy's deer and the fabrics she used. She said he is very creative and loves his chair too! 

Seren thinks Romina's fox is really smart

Anna's bear couple made Seren smile. She loves how beautiful they look together 

Nicole's kitty cats are another firm favourite. Seren said their faces are really cute and she loves their matching overalls

 

I can't believe how many dolls were made with my sewing patterns these past couple of months. I am so thankful for this community that we have built together and to everyone who takes the time to share their creations. Don't forget to visit my Instagram profile to see the rest of the photos! 

Maker of the Month

Seren's Maker of the Month for December is Nancy! Seren said "I love him so much. His spots look really good and his outfit is so cute"

Seren's Maker of the Month for January is Michelle! Seren said "I love this happy wolf and the fluffy ears!"

I will get in touch with Nancy and Michelle so they can choose their free patterns! Congratulations ladies!  

If you have made a doll with one of my sewing patterns this month don't forget to share it. This month I am also running a Valentine themed sew along. To join in make a matching couple and share it before Valentine's Day on the 14 February. The maker of Seren's favourite couple will also win a free sewing pattern! People have already made so many cute couples. You can see their photos in the Valentines folder on my Instagram profile.

I always publish a blog post to announce the winners of my Maker of the Month or Sew Alongs before I reach out to the winners personally.
