Get your dolls ready for bedtime with cute pyjama and sleep mask sewing pattern. The pyjamas and sleep mask fit all Studio Seren animal dolls. Choose to make the pyjamas with short or long sleeves, and pair them with trousers or shorts. The tutorial includes step-by-step photographs and detailed instructions.

This is an intermediate-level sewing pattern. Sewing sleeves on doll clothes is tricky and may require practice, but the end result is worth the effort

    Materials and tools

    To make this outfit you will need...
    • Half a yard or metre of light-medium weight cotton fabric for the pyjamas
    • 12” x 5 1/2” (30.5 x 14cm) of cotton fabric for the sleep mask
    • 6” x 3 1/2” (15.2 x 9cm) of wadding/batting for the sleep mask
    • 4 3/8”” (11cm) of 1/4” (6mm) wide sew-on hook and loop tape (Velcro)
    • 9” (22.9cm) of 1/4” (6mm) elastic for the trouser/shorts waistband
    7 7/8” (20cm) of 1/4” (6mm) elastic for the sleep mask strap
    • Sewing machine thread to match the dress
    • Fabric scissors
    • Paper scissors
    • Chopstick or similar long, thin stick to push out the corners in the dress
    • Iron
    • Pinking shears (optional)
    • Sewing pins
    • Seam ripper
    • Hemostats or forceps (optional)
    • Fraycheck (optional)

    Pattern difficulty

    Beginner friendly - No experience of making dolls is necessary, but you will need to have basic knowledge of how to use a sewing machine and be familiar with hand sewing

    Easy step by step instructions as with all the patterns, got a,bit,carried away and made 3 sets of pj's and now very skilled at,doing the collars and sleeves! Quite tricky on such small pieces! But very happy with my efforts!
